International Jewellery London 2016: TOP 10 Jewels

September 15, 2016

For the past 61 years, London becomes UK’s jewellery centre in early September. It is during this time that the International Jewellery London (IJL) exhibition takes place. The event brings together not only designers and brands across UK, but also a wide selection of international exhibitors.

It might seem that IJL is no different from other jewellery trade shows. However, I feel that it has two characteristics that truly define the event. First is the fact that not only well-established brands choose IJL to highlight their jewellery, but also many new talents and first-time exhibitors converge here. Second is the fact that there is a great daily seminar programme packed with high-profile speakers and experts discussing topics of current importance. This year, emerging designers made an impressive turnout and presented trendy jewellery designs that are usually synonymous with the fashion weeks. However, I focused on the precious section located on the ground floor of the show space (Olympia London). It contained more than 140 designers and brands, so I had enough pieces to choose from in order to highlight the top ten beautiful creations.
