How To Purchase Engagement Ring – Steps 5&6:
How To Purchase Engagement Ring Part 5 and 6
All the above paperwork is very important, because the value of the ring will go up after a while and you will have to arrange for it to be re-valued. You also want to be sure that a high level of after-sale service is guaranteed, since no piece of jewellery is unbreakable and you might need to have the ring fixed in the future.
Even if your other half is very careful when wearing her engagement ring, it is advisable to have it serviced on a yearly basis. Usually, they would check if the prongs are secure, will give the ring a complimentary polish and clean to make it looks brand new.
When buying a ring from a jewellery store, never mind if it is a famous brand or an independent jeweller, you should be given a receipt, a diamond certificate, and usually valuation documents for insurance purpose. These documents state how much the ring is worth at the point of sale. So all you need to do after is call your insurance company and provide them with the information they require.
It’s all up to you now…
