Award Season Style: The Best Jewellery at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards
The annual Golden Globe Awards are the gateway to the award season, signalling all the trends and signature styles that will eventually grace the biggest carpet of them all… the Academy Awards. This year, the Golden Globes jewellery on show showed signs of being in its most demure and elegant era yet, with dainty diamond lines, delicate earrings and a smattering of diamond rings that whisper rather than shout. With red carpet fashion becoming more avant-garde, jewellery has taken a backseat, although don't get disheartened! There's plenty to take a closer look at…
As soon as actress Emma Stone walked onto the Golden Globes red carpet wearing a butter yellow, midriff-bearing two-piece, we knew this year's ceremony was going to be a different one for jewellery. After all, with so much experimentation going on in the clothes department, jewellery is the perfect traditional antidote to bring things back to black tie.

Emma Stone chose to wear no jewellery to the 2026 Golden Globe Awards – a statement in itself
Many of this year's best fashion looks were textural, sequinned and beaded to perfection. A standout was Selena Gomez, whose Chanel dress was embellished with about 200 feathers, silk chiffon feathers and silk organza. Kate Hudson shimmered in silver beaded Armani Privé, Jenna Ortega pulled out all the stops in a black beaded gown by Dilara Findikoglu, and Zoey Deutch looked sensational in a monochromatic crystal embroidered dress by Prada. The problem with all these looks is that they don't lend themselves to jewellery, as they are already bursting with light-reflecting elements. In some cases, the dresses themselves had a jewelled element, like the brooch details on the shoulders of Ayo Edebiri's black velvet Chanel ensemble, Elle Fanning's sparkling Gucci dress, Tessa Thompson's top-to-toe Balenciaga sequins and Chase Infiniti's custom Louis Vuitton gown with a futuristic and oh so metallic bustier. A highlight was Emily Blunt, who magically managed to match the buttons on her unusual, asymmetric Louis Vuitton dress with a pair of platinum and diamond earrings by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co., paired with an archival diamond bracelet (circa 1957) and two diamond rings.

However, it's safe to say that many stars' looks were crying out for a gorgeous necklace. Their beautiful, wide-open necklines were the perfect canvas for a cascade of coloured stones or diamonds, especially Tessa Thompson, Brittany Snow, Erin Doherty, and Selena Gomez. The latter attended with her husband, Benny Blanco, who wore a wrist full of bracelets, a diamond watch, and a necklace by Neil Lane that stood out among the male attendees.
Of those who did opt for a necklace, it seemed all were following an unwritten rule about being understated for 2026. Classic line necklaces, almost exclusively diamonds, were the most popular choice, often accentuated by a diamond drop or, in the case of Miley Cyrus, an emerald drop courtesy of Tiffany & Co. Ana de Armas, Jennifer Lawrence, Hannah Einbinder, Dakota Fanning, Odessa A'zion, Ariana Grande, Aimee Lou Wood, and Natasha Rothwell all followed this elegant blueprint.

A slight variation was presented by award-winner Rhea Seehorn, who sported a barely-there line of Mikimoto pearls in a warm champagne hue that complemented her custom Louis Vuitton gown. Others also appeared to hear the ‘diamond line necklace’ rule but elevated it with their own signature twist. A great example is Mia Goth, who wore a zigzag-shaped diamond necklace by Dior set with more than 10 carats of diamonds, and Charli XCX, who wore the De Beers Arpeggia three-line diamond necklace totalling 22 carats, alongside the Drops of Light fancy vivid yellow pear-shaped earrings and a suite of diamond rings. More notable mentions include Amy Poehler in Boucheron and Dakota Fanning in Old Mine-cut diamonds by Fred Leighton (plus a 5.50-carat lozenge-shaped fancy brown diamond ring).
When Priyanka Chopra Jonas stepped onto the red carpet, we expected big shiny things from the archives of Bulgari, a brand for which she is an ambassador. Sadly, she wore a rather streamlined sapphire and diamond necklace, which, although sensational, felt like a missed opportunity to wear something truly knock out. Fortunately, others stepped up to the plate to make us do a double-take, like Julia Roberts in a strawberry-inspired longline necklace by Swarovski and Maya Rudolph in a striking necklace by Chanel with what appears to be teardrop-shaped chalcedony beads. More great necklaces came courtesy of Michelle Rodriguez in a deep red Pasquale Bruni creation; Hailee Steinfeld in a voluminous collar by Repossi set with a 7.4-carat cushion-cut yellow diamond and 42 carats of white diamonds; Parker Posey in a choker by Sabyasachi; and actress Chase Sui Wonders in a yellow gold, platinum and diamond necklace by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.

More great looks abounded, such as Lalisa Manobal of Blackpink in the five-tier Eternal Vimini choker by Bulgari, Amanda Seyfried in a Tiffany & Co. necklace from the 2025 Blue Book High Jewellery collection, and Elle Fanning in a Cartier necklace that perfectly mirrored the neckline of her Gucci gown.
A big trend of the night was asymmetric necklines, one-shoulder details, and high-neck gowns that make wearing a necklace somewhat challenging. This is where earrings had their chance to shine! Kate Hudson paired her silver Armani Privé gown with a pair of Garatti earrings, set with more than six carats of diamonds, and a bracelet with 7.90 carats of diamonds. She also sported a ring with a five-carat pear-shaped fancy green diamond, and a second ring with a 3.19-carat fancy deep green diamond, pink diamonds and white diamonds. More great earrings were worn by Kristen Bell in Sabyasachi, Teyana Taylor in vintage Tiffany & Co., KPop Demon Hunters singer Audrey Nuna in a look by Thom Browne, Jenna Ortega in 10-carat pear-shaped diamond earrings from Simone Jewels, and Kylie Jenner in bespoke Lorraine Schwartz diamonds weighing more than 75 carats.
And, finally, let's not forget the gentlemen of the evening. Some of the most notable looks featured Boucheron jewels, including style icon Colman Domingo in a Valentino suit and a gorgeous lapel of ivy leaf brooches. Similarly, actor and writer Paul W Downs wore the Roseau brooch from the Boucheron Untamed Nature High Jewellery collection, and Tramell Tillman impressed in the Plume de Paon brooch, bursting with colourless diamonds.
Elsewhere, Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams wore a Tiffany & Co. Bird on a Rock brooch and a Bulgari necklace, respectively. The latter tapped into the Serpenti collection in shades of yellow gold and white diamonds. More looks emerged from Patrick Schwarzenegger, whose Dolce & Gabbana lapel brooch looked like a sumptuous corsage of golden flowers; Dwayne Johnson in a Chopard timepiece set with 29.02 carats of diamonds, a diamond pinky ring and an 18k white gold brooch; and Timothée Chalamet in a Cartier Panthère necklace, a diamond bracelet, and a diamond eternity band.

Six-year-old Duke McCloud stole the show with a double emerald lapel pin pinned to his blue suit
Although we've captured some of the biggest and best looks of the night here, there is no doubt a handful of great ensembles that we've missed. Even in these last few lines, we have to sneak in more a gew more Golden Globes jewellery highlights, including Kathryn Hahn in a striking necklace by Fred Leighton and six-year-old Duke McCloud, who stole hearts in a blue suit and a double emerald lapel pin. What better way to foster a lifelong love of high jewellery than to start them young on the red carpet?! We can't wait to see what the rest of the award season brings.
