Latest additions to My Dior collection:
As I was getting ready to leave the house this morning, I found myself wanting to complement the outfit I’d chosen with something gold. Since I do not usually wear yellow gold I could not find anything suitable in my jewellery box… but then suddenly I remembered some of the latest pieces released as part of the My Dior collection.
They are the epitome of everyday chic: a small pendant on a chain, a delicate sautoir and a bracelet with geometric shapes of criss-crossing lines as well as earrings with small glittering diamonds would be just the thing!
Dior’s creations cannot be mistaken for anything else, not least because the little pattern on Dior’s earrings, made from braided strands of gold (so called “cannage”), has been a trademark of the maison for the past 50 years. The Creole earrings, which Victoire de Castellane added to the collection, come in different varieties: yellow, white or pink gold, with or without diamonds. These long-awaited pieces form an ideal duet with the wide cuffs, bangles and rings that are already in the collection. For now, I feel like paying a visit to a Dior boutique…
