Christmas 2022: Luxury Jewellery-Themed Gifts
The time has come to share the best jewellery-themed presents to gift this festive season: From edible works of art to bedazzled handbags and colourful homeware, jewellery brands have expanded their range of work by collaborating with their fellow fashion industry creatives on a range of standout pieces. Here’s what we hope to find under the tree in 2022…
13BC x Carolina Bucci Clutches
If you are looking for the perfect gift for the jewellery and fashion lover, you are in luck! This year saw a few exciting collaborations between fashion brands and jewellery designers. Italian fine jeweller Carolina Bucci collaborated with fellow Italian designer Cherine Magrabi Tayeb, creator of the brand 13BC, to make a series of exclusive collectable charm clutch handbags as part of the Woven Wishes collection. Designed using Bucci’s intricate jewellery-making techniques, the clutches feature rich layers of nude and coloured enamel dotted with 13 charms which can be removed and stitched onto any piece of clothing. The beautifully designed charms are intended to bring the wearer health, friendship, happiness, strength, protection, luck, dreams, love, peace, energy, travel, balance and virtue.
Gem Paintings by Hadden Sharapov
But what do you give to the handbag lover in your life who has it all? Enter artist Hadden Sharapov. This Alabama-born and raised designer is taking upcycling to the next level with her contemporary paintings. Using old handbags as her canvas, Sharapov breaks down worn-out luxury purses and breathes new life into them by creating sheets of canvas on which she paints gouache figures, including faceted gem drawings. I particularly love her brilliant diamond heart and emerald renderings.

Candles & T-Shirts from Wings of Wisdom
Holistic luxury lifestyle brand Wings of Wisdom is here if you need a spiritual uplift. Created by London-based designer Catherine Mugnier, these precious objects are made to encourage her clients to adopt better behavioural patterns and general respect for wellness. The brand has launched a series of hand-embroidered cotton t-shirts and consciously crafted perfumed candles this holiday season. The T-shirts are decorated by British master embroiderer Jenny King, whose studio in East London catered to JW Anderson and the wardrobe on the set of Netflix’s Bridgeton. The candles come housed in a precious and reusable fine bone china vessel with 22-carat gold details that are hand-applied using traditional techniques.
The Black Bee Prestige Guerlain Perfume Bottle by Bäumer & Baccarat
Place Vendôme independent jeweller Lorenz Bäumer is no stranger to collaborations outside the world of fine jewellery. From contemporary furniture to fine art, he has expanded his creativity on several occasions beyond the realm of jewellery. This year, he has reimagined the majestic bee-shaped perfume bottle he first designed for the House of Guerlain in 2010. More alluring than ever, the Black Bee Prestige Edition perfume bottle is fabricated in deep black crystal by master glassmaker Baccarat. With the wings of the bee faceted much like a diamond, this piece is the one to gift your Objet d’Art lovers.
Bea Bongiasca X WOLF Jewellery Box
Enamel queen Bea Bongiasca is the jewellery designer on everyone’s Christmas wish list. Her bold, colourful pieces are filled with childlike whimsy and refined yet boundary-pushing shapes. The young Italian jeweller has surprised her fans by adding her signature aesthetic to objects beyond the fine jewellery she is famed for. In collaboration with the jewellery storage and accessories brand WOLF, Bongiasca has launched a series of eye-catching kaleidoscopic boxes and trays. These seventies-swagger-inspired velour creations are guaranteed to make a design statement in whichever room you choose to display them.
Maison Mellerio x Goyard Trunks
Speaking of precious storage, French jewellery brand Maison Mellerio has partnered with the oldest trunk-maker in Paris, Goyard, to create a new treasure chest tailor-made to house 10 Mellerio Color Queen rings. The self-proclaimed oldest jeweller in the world wanted its clients to be able to purchase their solitaire ring collection in one neat design package that added something extra to their purchase. Inspired by the creative enlightenment period that was the Renaissance, both the made-to-measure trunk and rings are created from bold colour combinations and refined materials. This is a gift guaranteed to delight and enchants all jewellery lovers.
Dower & Hall Christmas Decorations
Here is a gift for the Christmas fanatic who also appreciates hand-crafted works of art. British jewellery brand Dower & Hall has launched a limited-edition series of Christmas decorations that will add a unique sparkle to your festive tree. Its Woodland Christmas Decoration Set brings the beauty of nature indoors. Made from silver-plated pewter, carnelian gemstones and freshwater pearls, these ornaments are just what you need to get into the holiday spirit.
GODIVA x Le Vian Collection
I would like to end this year’s gift guide on a sweet note. The iconic premium chocolate brand GODIVA and diamond jewellery brand Le Vian have expanded their partnership to launch a chocolate-inspired jewellery collection this year. This series will feature Le Vian’s trademark ‘Chocolate Diamonds’ and hand-lacquered finishes for the first time. The earrings, rings and pendants evoke the feeling of biting into a piece of delicious chocolate… what’s not to like!
Whether you are looking to buy for that someone special, your loved ones, or yourself, these jewellery-inspired gifts are the perfect presents to find under the tree this Christmas.
